What is Talent Together?

We connect local employers and apprentices to create free, flexible mentoring opportunities. This support is open to everyone involved in apprenticeships.

We understand that many employers - especially SMEs and VCSE organisations - are stretched for time and resources. Providing mentoring alongside day-to-day demands can be challenging, but strong support is key to apprentice success.

'Talent Together' mentoring helps you build connections, develop your own skills, and give your apprentices valuable learning and networking opportunities.

What is mentoring?

Mentors (those offering mentoring) will volunteer some of their time to help mentees (those accessing mentoring) navigate changes and grow in their role.

Mentoring through 'Talent Together' could support:

Best practice in managing and mentoring apprentices
Enriching off-the-job learning through placements, specialist support, and networking
Guidance for apprenticeship professionals

How does it work?

'Talent Together' is a flexible and self-guided mentoring format.

We will match you with a suitable mentor or mentee from our network. You will then have an initial conversation to agree a suitable mentoring format, shared goals, and duration. After this, you will continue to meet independently and manage the mentoring relationship together.
