Swarm Training is proud to be a Community Interest Company (C.I.C) where our enterprising and compassionate business values are at the very core of the Swarm brand.
At Swarm Training C.I.C, we focus on making sure we work collaboratively with the learner and employer to make sure they have the best possible educational journey and feel supported in achieving success. But above all, our apprenticeship training has to deliver results and demonstrate a good return on investment.
How we work

- Our training and tuition has been designed to create and deliver impact! We educate our students on the power of measuring their own impact in their role for the business but also their social impact in the way that they behave.

- Finally, we are a not for profit training provider. Our profits do not go to our shareholders. Our profits are reinvested into training our team, social impact funds that give grants to local social enterprise and charities, and develop our future careers and employability projects.
We offer Business and Engineering Apprenticeships through two different approaches.
Our business apprenticeships are delivered through online learning with a specialist tutor. Learners can see their tutor one a 1-2-1 basis as well as through collaborative workshops where learners across Swarm from different employers can come together and learn in small groups.
For our engineering apprenticeships, these are delivered through a 20 week intensive course on site at out well equipped centre in the heart of Norwich by the branch of Swarm Training called Swarm REAGIT. It is important to have our learners in this very controlled environment whilst they grasp the basics of their trade as well as the crucial elements of health & Safety before being exposed to real working conditions. Our centre achieves this brilliantly and is getting a great reputation across Norfolk.
Why study with us
We offer a range of business-related apprenticeships from level 2 to level 5 (online learning) and engineering & manufacturing apprenticeships from level 2 to level 3 (20 week face to face intensive courses) in well-equipped classrooms and through practical workshops.
Ofsted recently commented on our provision with some key statements which will help you get a feel for what we do and how we work:
- The proportion of apprentices who achieve their apprenticeship is 72%
- A high proportion of apprentices achieve distinction grades.
- Leaders thoroughly check that the apprenticeships they offer meet the needs of apprentices and employers.
- Tutors accurately check what apprentices know and can do at the start of their training and adapt training plans accordingly
- Apprentices who fall behind in their studies get timely and effective support.
- Apprentices benefit from curriculums that are stimulating and relevant for their job roles.
- Knowledgeable and experienced tutors make highly effective use of a range of learning activities and assessment tasks.
- Tutors provide good support for apprentices with identified learning difficulties and barriers to learning.
- Apprentices with anxiety receive extra learning resources.
- Apprentices with learning difficulties and/or disabilities make good progress and achieve in line with their peers.
- Tutors prepare apprentices thoroughly for examinations, and most pass first time.
- Leaders provide a comprehensive personal development curriculum.
- Apprentices have a good understanding of what they need to do to maintain their own mental health and physical well-being.
- Most apprentices receive promotions and additional responsibilities at work when they finish their apprenticeship.
- The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
Enrolment
We enrol learners following an on-demand system. We don't have set start dates but start learners on their courses throughout the year. There will usually be others starting at the same time no matter when it is and so we can put people into cohorts to learn together.
Training Centre Locations
Our head office is in Hethersett, Norwich.
However, for our business apprenticeship learners, they will mostly learn online.
For our engineering apprentices, they will learn in a 20 week intensive course on site at our engneering centre in the heart of Norwich about 5 minutes walk from the main train station. How to get to | Swarm REAGIT
