About Us

Suffolk New College offers the broadest range of courses across the county in a wide range of sectors and specialisms including Construction, Gas Engineering, Electrical, Motor Vehicle, Horticulture, Golf Greenkeeping, Agriculture, Land Based and Professional courses such as AAT and HR. Our Apprenticeships are delivered across two of our four campuses.

Ipswich

Our Ipswich campus is based within the education quarter of the town and is close to the picturesque waterfront area. You can also take a gentle stroll into the town centre that is also only a short walk away from the college.

Suffolk Rural - Otley

Suffolk Rural is the location of our land-based industry facilities and programmes. The campus is located in the heart of the countryside and benefits from a range of specialist vocational workshops and outdoor facilities, as well as general college buildings.

Leisure Learning

At Suffolk New College, we offer a range of part-time leisure learning courses designed to educate and develop your skills in your chosen area of interest. From floristry to languages and even building self-confidence, Suffolk New College has a fantastic variety available, whether you're looking to sharpen your abilities or take on a brand new challenge. 

Suffolk New College Gas Centre

Based in state-of-the art industry standard facilities at our Ipswich campus we offer a range of domestic gas safety training packages and certification including the CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, CENWAT and the new Managed Learner Programme which provides candidates with all the theoretical knowledge they require to pass the MLP assessments.

Enrolment

We have a team dedicated to our Apprenticeship enrolments who will guide and support both the employer and Apprentice through the on boarding process before our on program team take over the delivery of the Apprenticeship. Suffolk New College typically has three in-take dates for our Apprenticeship routes which require college attendance, these are September, January and April. 

Training Centre Locations

Depending on the Apprenticeship route delivery and OTJ is carried out in the workplace or one day a week at either our Ipswich or Rural Campus.
