About Us

The PMA is a training provider and representative body for GP Practice Managers, PCN's, Dental Practices, Dental Groups, NHS Trusts, Primary Care Training Hubs, and all non-clinical professionals across the Health and Social Care Management Industry, we deliver a range of apprenticeships, diplomas, learning opportunities and education programmes. We also have PMA Recruit, a recruitment service for Primary Care non-clinical staff.

The PMA is approved by The Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) as a Main Provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (ROATP). The PMA also has Skills for Health - Quality Mark full endorsement, Skills for Care, Matrix Standard Accreditation, and is an ILM and City & Guilds Approved Centre and providers of excellence in primary care workforce development. We also hold Cyber Essentials accreditation, giving you the confidence that any data shared with the PMA is secure.

The PMA recently secured a Grade 2 Good Ofsted inspection report. Ofsted | PMA Ltd

You will see from reading the report that we are very near to securing Grade 1 Outstanding and we are currently working hard to ensure we can invite Ofsted back sooner than their regulatory 5 - 7 year gap to gain this accolade.

The reason for our success is simple. We put quality at the centre of everything that we do. The learner comes first and with our constant focus on delivering highly effective teaching, learning and assessment we ensure that every one of our learners strives to be the best that they can be. We actively encourage learners to aim for distinction grades and we are relentless in our pursuit of making the sector that we serve attractive so we recruit, retain and progress learners within this field.

We do not offer generic Apprenticeship standards. Rather we nuance them with our sector knowledge, skills and expertise to produce learners with true and authentic occupational competency in the field.

The PMA Tutors are qualified and skilled educators with sector knowledge and experience and they are supported by the PMA facilitators and members council of over 50,000 active practitioners.

A learner studying with the PMA has access to all PMA workshops, e-learning, off the job CPD opportunities and becomes an active member of the PMA community.

Our ability to truly understand the needs of the sector we serve and hone the Apprenticeship to suit the individual needs of the learner, employer and practice has resulted in great success and progression for our learners and a positive impact on the settings where they work.

Despite offering a large proportion of our Apprenticeship delivery remotely through innovative delivery methods we also offer face to face cohort/1:1 delivery across the UK as and when required in agreement with the learner/employer/main prime.

We have direct claim status for all of our programmes that we deliver as the external Awarding bodies have recognised and rewarded the PMAs relentless focus on Quality.
