About Us
inspire+ is a PE, Sport and Education charity established in 2011. Since becoming a training provider in 2017, inspire+ has evolved into one of the country's largest PE & School Sport, and Teaching Assistant apprenticeship providers. As a charity, our quality of delivery is everything to us, and we are proud to be chosen by over 200 employers across the East of England.
We deliver a range of apprenticeships for the Inspire Education Group (IEG) partnership. This partnership is made up of Stamford and Peterborough College, and we are proud to have a strong relationship with IEG.
Why study with us
Our apprentices can support your organisation in a variety of capacities, including structured play at breaks and lunch, supporting the delivery of extra-curricular activities, sports fixtures, pastoral, classroom and behaviour roles.
We offer bespoke apprenticeship training to meet your professional development needs and ensure apprentices reach their full potential.
They will receive weekly training delivered by our dedicated cohort tutors with a mix of practical and theory lessons. During this training, they will learn about safeguarding, first aid in education, professionalism in schools, team-building activities and everything they need to know to become a valuable member of staff. This gives the employers the opportunity to grow their own skilled staff.
Enrolment
New learners can enroll at the start of the academic year or in November, when we also welcome progressing students.
We will provide everything you need to find the right candidate, including job specifications and descriptions, job adverts and interview format templates.
In addition, we'll help you to advertise the vacancy, gather candidates and filter CVs. Finally, we'll then recommend the best candidates for your organisation.
Training Centre Locations
The apprentice will receive weekly training delivered by our dedicated cohort tutors with a mix of practical and theory lessons. We use an online portfolio system to track progress, which both student and employer mentor will have access to and training on.
Our face to face practical training is delivered at: The Arena -7 Avian Way, Norwich NR7 9AT and theory lessons will be delivered via online lessons.
Accessibility and Transport Links
We understand that accessibility can vary depending on the location of your school or workplace. As our learners are placed in different schools, the level of accessibility may differ. However, we are committed to supporting your learning journey and will work closely with both you and your employer to address any specific needs you may have. If required, we will take all necessary steps to ensure that you have the resources and support needed to succeed.

How to build your confidence with apprenticeships
Case Studies
Ellie Kelf - My Journey with Inspire+
Since high school, I have always enjoyed PE, particularly netball. During college, I pursued A Level PE and joined the netball academy while also playing for a club that I have been part of for nine years. In my final year, I had the opportunity to both play and coach within the academy, which allowed me to put my netball coaching award and umpiring qualification into practice. This experience, along with coaching at a primary school, made me realise my passion for teaching and coaching sports, especially with younger people.
Throughout college, I knew I didn't want to follow the traditional route of going to university and felt uncertain about other options. When I learned about Inspire+, I immediately saw it as a perfect fit, offering hands-on experience in the industry while allowing me to gain a valuable qualification. With the support of my parents and the Inspire+ team throughout the application process, everything fell into place easily.
Since starting my apprenticeship, I have gained valuable insights and skills, such as learning to adapt to the different learning styles and needs of the children. I've also developed confidence in teaching sports I previously had little experience with. Attending weekly training has been just as beneficial; for instance, a practical session on tag rugby provided me with numerous ideas to implement back at my school, especially in terms of progressing drills and adapting them creatively. Before this session, I would not have had much knowledge about such activities.
What I love most about my apprenticeship is that every day is different, and the variety of opportunities keeps the work exciting. The staff and children I work with make it a rewarding experience, especially when I can help a child discover their potential. One of my proudest moments was during one of my first gymnastics lessons, where I guided a student step-by-step in learning how to perform a handstand. Despite gymnastics being a sport I don't feel very confident in, by the end of the term, the student had mastered the skill and performed it with confidence. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do.
In the future, I hope to continue working with younger people, eventually pursuing a degree in sport through the Open University, with the aim of working in an educational or coaching setting. I would highly recommend Inspire+ to others. The team provides exceptional support, ensuring that no question feels too small, and there's always someone available for guidance. The experience of working in a school is invaluable, and the apprenticeship is well-organized and highly professional.
Dan Taylor: Inspiring Young Minds
I found the Inspire+ route after I had a weeks work experience with my current workplace, I loved it so much that I applied for my apprenticeship through my apprenticeship lead at the school and got the opportunity that way. I'm using this year as experience for my future career in teaching as after this year I will be studying sports science at university and hopefully doing teacher training after that so it is a brilliant start to hopefully a very good career in teaching.
I couldn't recommend it more, every tutor you have is so helpful and they teach you so much that you will need to thrive in the future. I've been on the course a few months and have already learned so much and being able to put it into practice has helped so much as well because it's only useful to know the things if you can apply it to your everyday work.
My future ambition is to be a PE teacher at a secondary school or primary school and I want to be a massive influence in shaping students lives.
