About us
We're proud to be one of the UK's leading providers of degree apprenticeships, working in partnership with professional bodies and some of the biggest names in industry and public services.
Here at ARU we understand evolving workforces and the skills shortages impacting organisational performance today and we recognise the fantastic opportunities that degree apprenticeships offer to aspiring apprentices from diverse backgrounds.
Why study with us
ARU has a well-established track record when it comes to work-based, industry-relevant degree courses. We're at the forefront of the development of degree apprenticeships and offer a wide range of apprenticeships at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
We take an employer led approach and consult at each stage of the course development process to ensure that our apprentices are equipped with the skills, knowledge and behaviours our partners need to drive their organisations forward.
We work with over 600 employer partners supporting them to find and recruit talented apprentices. The latest apprentice job vacancies can be found on the ARU vacancies page
Apprenticeship delivery
Our courses are delivered across Peterborough, Cambridge, and Chelmsford, using flexible formats such as day-release and blended learning. Blended learning includes scheduled blocks or individual days throughout the year, supported by online study. This combines live, timetabled sessions with self-directed "log in and learn" time, offering a balanced and accessible learning experience.
Our apprenticeships are designed so that each academic module directly maps to the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) of the relevant apprenticeship standard. This means you don't need to create additional activities to meet Off-The-Job (OTJ) training requirements. Your role is to support your apprentice in engaging with the programme and, through mentoring, help identify opportunities to apply their learning in real work situations. This not only reinforces their development but also enables them to draw on day-to-day experiences to create more meaningful assignments and projects.
