Social enterprise start-up training

School's out for the summer - but our social enterprise start up programme commences 9th September. Perfect for anyone ready to develop an idea or trying to build the skills to get started. You will learn lots of really useful stuff while you meet other start-ups and get to practice networking, pitching and more. We look at the mechanics of starting up, how starting out makes you feel, how to manage anxiety and make the most of your passion and motivation as part of the package - and we have some fantastic guests and mentors along the way. City centre venue complete with refreshments, wraparound support and good humour - and all free of charge! As part of the programme there is a Dragon’s Den opportunity to pitch for an interest-free start up loan of up to £1000

The full programme also includes:

Ø What is a social entrepreneur? Behaviours and Characteristics

Ø What a Business Plan should include and why – introduce template business plan

Ø Legal structures and what is fit for your social purpose

Ø Legal obligations and financial planning

Ø Ethical business, social impact reporting and understanding Social Return on Investment

Ø Sales, marketing and branding

PLUS: Targeted interactive surgeries on registering your business and creating your governing documents, completing a grant bid, social media and writing policy documents

We welcome all ages and applicants from any location. There are no benefit or employment restrictions – just come to us with a great idea and the passion to make it happen!

All workshops will be 9.30am – 1pm on Saturdays
